About House Of Hope Laurel Highlands

Refuge for teenagers and their families is emerging in the rolling hills of Somerset County, where House of Hope Laurel Highlands provides comprehensive, Christian-based counseling and eventually will be a residential haven for wayward youth.

As an affiliate of the National House of Hope, a non-denominational,
non-profit organization in Orlando, Fla., we transform adolescents spiritually and physically, developing their character based on Biblical principles and equipping them for productive, Christ-like lives.

Affordable counseling is available for teenagers ages 13 to 17 and their families. The cost for one-hour sessions is determined by your ability to pay, based on a sliding scale tied to household income.

Along with counseling, House of Hope Laurel Highlands is planning an expansive, $2 million residential and educational center in the middle of a working, 120-acre dairy farm.  The long-term goal is for boys to reside and work in a farm setting, receiving their education and living in an atmosphere of love and acceptance with Christ at the epicenter. They also will receive vocational training in farming, carpentry, welding, electrical work and plumbing.

Bible Verses

"He sent forth his Word and healed them..." Psalm 107:20

"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure."
Hebrews 6:19

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippines 4:13

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary; and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40: 29-31
